H-E-B, the previously beloved Texas grocery chain, continues to sponsor organizations that support barbaric “gender transitions” on young children. Texas Scorecard became aware of H-E-B’s sponsorship of this organization as part of a separate investigation that remains ongoing.

“OutYouth” is an Austin-based organization that bills itself as “a safe place for youth of all sexual orientations and gender identities to be themselves.” The group provides so-called “LGBTQIA+” counseling for children as young as 9 years old.

Furthermore, the group’s own slides make it clear that parents are unwelcome in these sessions.

On November 12, OutYouth is hosting its annual “Glitz” fundraiser. The event announcement prominently lists H-E-B as a sponsor:

H-E-B’s sponsorship of this event follows a similar controversy this summer.

In an article exposing the liberal activism of H-E-B CEO Charles Butt last month, Texas Scorecard reported that the San Antonio-based grocery chain was listed as a sponsor of an LGBT “pride” event in downtown Austin in June. The event, called Rainbow on the Creek, included a drag queen story hour, a “family-friendly all ages” drag show performed by a group called the Hydrated Queer Kitties, and a pride parade.

Despite the event having taken place more than two months ago, H-E-B’s sponsorship no longer appears on the website for Rainbow on the Creek. Internet archives reveal the change happened sometime between July 16 (three days after the original article was published) and August 24.

H-E-B’s customer services hotline is (210) 938-8357. Texans may contact them electronically.
