The governor fell far short of the demand Texas grassroots citizens made of him earlier this week when they called on the governor to bring forward a data-driven plan to reopen the state’s economy.
Signing on to the letter are 216 leaders representing 198 unique organizations, political precincts, and districts.
Citizens have a long history of granting their leaders the benefit of the doubt and broad discretion for their decisions in times of crisis.
