In an unsurprising series of events, the Young Conservatives of Texas chapter at the University of Texas at Austin has had their property vandalized multiple times by a radical left-wing fascist group.

The group, which goes by the name the Revolutionary Student Front, is a fascist communist group who ironically claim to fight the fascism they actually support. Both their Facebook page and website claim their supposed opposition to fascism and capitalism.

In their less than valiant efforts to oppose fascism, several members of the organization have attempted multiple times to graffiti and destroy private property of YCT; labeling the YCT sign as racist, as well as drawing Hitler-esque mustaches on the caricature of Uncle Sam.

Additionally, the organization wrote the information to access their social media accounts on the back of the sign, accompanied by a hammer and sickle, the representation of an ideology that has starved and oppressed millions. A video of one of the conspirators of the crime can be seen here.

Although a police report has been filed, the University of Texas administration continues to remain silent. No university official has come out against the vandalism or the organization. Compared with YCT’s peaceful protest of affirmative action policies last year when all of the major university officials came out with statements in less than a few hours.

Leonard Moore, Vice President for Diversity and Community Engagement at UT-Austin, who called YCT “deplorable” in the moments following the groups peaceful affirmative action protest, still has yet to release a statement condemning the vandalism days after it occured.

It bears mentioning that while The Revolutionary Student Front (or RSF) has not registered with the university as an official student group, they have still been allowed to meet in the tax-funded, public university’s buildings, as recently as this week.

In an official statement following the initial incident, YCT-UT Chapter President Ashley Vaughn said, “It is critical to a free society that private property is protected. Revolutionary Student Front’s actions today serve to underline the incompatibility of their core beliefs with a society founded on inalienable rights.”

The basis upon which our country was founded requires the protection of free speech and of private property. The Revolutionary Student Front actively seeks to undermine that, and by their complacency and refusal to condemn such actions, so does the University’s administration.
