Any thought that Gov. Abbott was going to go easy on the House, or back down, should be put to bed by the email his team put out today. It’s one thing to talk tough to the press, it’s something else to ask Texans to donate to a fight.

No matter what one thinks of Greg Abbott or his agenda, one cannot question his personal integrity. He would never allow this fundraising email to go out if he didn’t fully intend to take action.

I bet Speaker Straus’ “Republican” wingmen will soil their shorts when they realize Abbott is raising money to fight them in their districts.

I wonder who is more well known and popular in most House districts… the state rep, or the governor. My money is on the latter.
