President Trump’s son, Donald Jr., has waded into the 13th Congressional District Republican primary runoff, campaigning for Dr. Ronny Jackson.

Jackson, who has been endorsed by President Trump, released a video this week featuring Donald Trump Jr. engaging with voters about the 13th District race. In the video, Trump Jr. railed against fake news and Democrats, saying that voters can help support the Trump agenda by supporting Jackson for Congress.

“I know Ronny personally,” Trump Jr. said. “He’s a man of great faith, a retired Navy Rear Admiral, and a strong advocate for veterans, oil and gas, and Texas agriculture.”

In a statement to Texas Scorecard, Jackson said he is excited to have the support of Trump Jr. ahead of the primary runoff election.

“I’ve had the distinct privilege of getting to know the Trump family as I’ve worked closely with President Trump over the last three years. I’m honored to know that President Trump and his entire family have the utmost trust and confidence in me to be the best choice to represent the people of the great state of Texas in the 13th Congressional District.”

Jackson will face Josh Winegarner in the July 14 Republican runoff for the 13th District seat.
