Following the 300th bus of illegal aliens leaving Texas, U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) says that U.S. House members from Texas are going to get aggressive on President Biden’s open border policies.

“I think that the Biden administration—President Biden in general—has taken the election results as some kind of validation that what he’s been doing for the last two years is somehow working or supported by the American people, and we know this is not true. The border is an absolute disaster…The fentanyl crisis is out of control. We have documented terrorists by the hundreds crossing our border,” Jackson said in a Fox News interview.

Indeed, since the launch of Operation Lone Star—Texas’ border security push—the Texas Department of Public Safety has seized more than 342 million lethal doses of fentanyl.

In the federal fiscal year 2022, there were more than 2 million encounters at the southern border, along with 98 arrests of terror watchlist suspects.

Despite Mayra Flores and Cassy Garcia losing their races in South Texas, Jackson says Texas legislators will still be able to accomplish their border agendas.

“We did good overall. We did win the majority back, which is going to be key. We are going to be able to do certain things on the border when it comes to the money side of the House. Maybe we can choke off some of the funds down there, so we’re still going to make a difference on the border.”
