A San Antonio-area school cafeteria worker was jailed after allegedly admitting to twice having sex with a high school student in a campus kitchen closet.

Jenna Michelle Woodworth, 30, was arrested and charged with improper relationship between educator and student, a second-degree felony punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison.

Woodworth was a cafeteria worker in East Central Independent School District, which includes a southeastern section of San Antonio in Bexar County. She has since been fired.

Her victim is a male East Central High School senior.

East Central ISD police were reportedly made aware of the incidents last Wednesday morning.

Police say both Woodworth and her victim admitted to the on-campus sexual encounters during questioning.

The victim told police that last Monday and Tuesday, Woodworth picked him up from the stadium parking lot in a district vehicle and drove to the Learning Academy Campus.

Woodworth took the student through a back door of the cafeteria kitchen and when she finished working “they went to a closet in the kitchen and had sexual intercourse,” according to an arrest affidavit.

The victim alleged he had known Woodworth since his freshman year, and she would “get upset with me if I did not speak to her or acknowledge her when I was around her.”

Woodworth was arrested on Thursday, May 8, and booked into the Bexar County Jail. She was released the next day on a $50,000 bond.

In a notice to parents, East Central ISD officials stated that Woodworth—identified only as a Child Nutrition worker—had been “terminated immediately.”

“The student’s family was contacted right away and has remained actively engaged throughout the process,” the district’s notice continued. “Child Protective Services was notified, and we continue to work closely with law enforcement—advocating to the District Attorney’s Office for charges to be pursued. The East Central Police Department’s investigation remains ongoing.”

Woodworth is among an increasing number of Texas school employees, many female, charged with sex crimes involving students.

Earlier this month, Pflugerville ISD administrative assistant Marissa Juarez was arrested for sexually grooming an underage student via Snapchat after getting caught on campus cameras kissing her victim while at school.

Neither woman is currently listed as “under investigation” in the Do Not Hire Registry of individuals not eligible to be employed by a Texas public school.
