Texans for Fiscal Responsibility has endorsed State Rep. David Simpson for reelection to the Texas House, District 7.
“As a freshman legislator, David Simpson delivered on his word from the campaign trail, proving himself to be a champion for his constituents and all Texas taxpayers,” said the president of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Michael Quinn Sullivan. “On issue after issue, David Simpson worked to protect Texans from burdensome and over-reaching government.”
In 2011, Simpson earned the “Taxpayer Champion Award” for his rating on the Fiscal Responsibility Index, which examines legislators recorded votes during the legislative session.
Simpson is seeking re-election in the May 29 Republican Primary. Sullivan praised Simpson as a true watchdog for taxpayers, saying the legislator’s record in the Texas House was marked by promoting free markets and conservative policy solutions.
“David Simpson is the kind of commonsense conservative we need to keep in the Legislature for the benefit of all Texans.”
