Texans for Fiscal Responsibility today endorsed Drew Springer in the Republican Primary run-off for the Texas House open-seat district 68. TFR did not endorse in the first-round of the primary featuring four candidates.
“Drew Springer is a strong, principled conservative who will promote commonsense reforms in the Texas House,” said the president of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Michael Quinn Sullivan. “Drew Springer will oppose new taxes, fight to reduce Texans’ tax burden, and demand greater accountability for how our dollars are spent.”
Mr. Springer is seeking the Republican primary nomination in open-seat HD68, a position left vacant by the retiring Rick Hardcastle. There were four candidates in the May 29 primary. Mr. Springer has been endorsed by the two candidates who did not advance to the run-off.
Sullivan continued: “Voters are looking for public servants like Drew Springer who will govern with the conservative values and principles that strengthen Texas’ families.”
