Calling him a no-nonsense fighter, Mike Lang has been endorsed by Texans for Fiscal Responsibility in the Republican primary for Texas House District 60.
“As a police officer and elected constable, Mike Lang has proven time and again his willingness to serve his community with integrity,” said TFR’s president, Michael Quinn Sullivan. “Mike Lang will be a bold, commonsense lawmaker fighting for taxpayers in Austin.”
Lang, who lives in Granbury, served as a law enforcement officer for 30 years. His wife, Katie, is the Hood County Clerk.
House District 60 is an open-seat contest. The incumbent, State Rep. Jim Keffer, announced that he would be retiring from public office after Lang declared his candidacy.
Texans for Fiscal Responsibility (www.EmpowerTexans.com) is the largest grassroots organization in the state focused on state and local fiscal and governance policy issues. Endorsements are made in consultation with advisors, subscribers and supporters in each district.
“Texans are looking for reform-minded, no-nonsense candidates who will fight for their constituents rather than serve the corrupt crony-culture of Austin,” added Sullivan. “That’s why taxpayers in House District 60 are supporting Mike Lang, and why we are proud to stand alongside them.”
