Allen High School graduate and Texas State star soccer player Kaylee Davis has been named to the watch list for this year’s Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy, Texas State’s website recently reported.

Davis is the first Bobcat to be considered for the trophy, given annually to the best men’s and women’s college soccer players in the country. The trophies will be awarded Jan. 10 in St. Louis.

Davis, a senior forward at Texas State, is coming off a season in which she tied the school’s single season record of 18 goals. For her efforts, she was a United Soccer Coaches All-America third team selection and was named the Offensive Player of the Year in the Sun Belt Conference.

During her time at Allen, Davis was a Texas Association of Soccer Coaches 6A All-State honorable mention pick and earned all-region and district honors as well. She spent her first year of college at Sam Houston State.
