Baylor Bears running back JaMycal Hasty continues to outdo himself every season.

Although Hasty could top last year’s number of attempts and yards rushed, his three touchdowns this season tie what he achieved in 2016 during his first year with the team.

So far this season, the 5-11, 211-pound junior has rushed 55 attempts, for a total of 301 yards and an average of 5.5 yards per attempt. Consider last year’s full-season numbers of 76 attempts for 314 yards and a single touchdown, and with five games left, that goal appears within reach.

Since joining the team, his receiving stats have improved from three the first year to 25 and 19 in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

This year’s top games were against Oklahoma, the University of Texas at San Antonio and Abilene Christian, with 10 attempts each. The standout of the three games was on Sept. 1 at Abilene Christian, where he rushed 10 attempts for 102 yards and scored two touchdowns.
