Soon after No. 10 freshman guard Elijah Elliott graduated from Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas, he had a decision to make about his future.

At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Elliot was in demand by at least three schools: Wake Forest, Nebraska and the University of Kansas Jayhawks, where he ultimately landed last season.

According to an article on the Jayhawks’ website, Elliott performed well in his debut before a crowd of 16,300 spectators at the 34th Annual Late Nigh in the Phog season opener. His two 3-point field goals that night prompted Coach Bill Self to laud the team’s depth, which could “hopefully to give us something that maybe we don’t expect.”
