Sophomore quarterback Alex Ramart is an up-and-coming star at the University of Akron.
According to the school’s website, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound exercise science major from Richmond was a redshirted freshman who played in six games with one start. In his start, he went four of 15 for 29 yards. As a freshman, Ramart also threw his first career touchdown pass, was a Rise and Shine award recipient, and was on the Dean’s List.
Ramart is a graduate from Foster High School. During his high school years, he was named Class 5A Offensive Player of the Year, was an Academic All-State and All-District honoree, and was a National Honor Society student. Ramart achieved 6,083 passing yards and 79 touchdowns. He went 179 of 316 for 2,587 yards and 32 touchdowns as a junior, and 221 of 315 for 3,496 yards and 42 touchdowns as a senior.
Ramart, originally from Colorado, has an older brother and older sister.
