As a student at South Grand Prairie High School in Texas, Uchenna Nwoke earned a No. 24 statewide ranking as the No. 11 center for the Warriors.

As a senior, she averaged 7.6 points, eight rebounds and 1.6 blocks, according to her college bio. In her ninth grade year, she was named an honorable mention in the All-District honors and was designated as an Academic All-District.

Since graduating in 2018, the 6-foot-6 center now wears the No. 13 jersey for the women’s team at Duke University. In eight games played in her first season, she has earned rankings of No. 93 for the All-Star Girls Report and No. 64 for Prospects Nation. In eight games played for Duke under women’s head coach Joanne P. McCallie, Nwoke is one for four in field goals.

Born in Denver, Nwoke later moved to Grand Prairie with her parents, Kenn and Nneka Nwoke, two sisters and one brother.
