At 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, freshman Will Duncan is casting his tall shadow as a right-handed pitcher for the Sam Houston State Bearcats.

Duncan is an alumnus of Richardson High School in Richardson, Texas, where he earned a spot in the San Diego Padres 29th round 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He was also listed on the Preseason Perfect Game/Rawlings Sports All-Texas region team, according to his college bio.

Wearing the No. 45 jersey for the Bearcats, Duncan has appeared in six games during his debut season, starting in one and scoring a 5.06 earned run average for pitching in 5.1 innings. In the March 12 game against Louisiana Tech, he pitched two strikeouts.
