Hailing from Frisco, Texas, senior Bryce Crawford is set to wrap up his tenure with the San Jose State Spartans as the team’s top placekicker and punter for 2018.

The 6-foot-3, 244-pound Crawford has earned a place in the school’s history books, according to his official bio on the Spartans’ website. His five field goals of 50 or more yards in 2017 is the school’s single-season and career record, and “he accounts for nearly 30 percent of the field goals of 50 or more yards in school history.”

This success is aligned with his performance at Frisco’s Heritage High School where he “blossomed” during senior year under the coaching of Che Hendrix, the Spartans’ bio states. He was most valuable kicker for District 9-5A, and “averaged 44.5 yards per punt, was 12-of-17 kicking field goals with a long of 47 yards against Liberty High.”

At Heritage, Crawford was named an Academic All-State honorable mention in 2014 by the Texas High School Coaches Association.
