Freshman infielder Kaitlyn Huseman has achieved nine putouts during her 2019 season with the Abilene Christian Wildcats softball team.

Huseman hails from Saginaw, Texas, where she graduated from Saginaw High School in 2018. There she lettered for four years in softball and accumulated best-on-team in home runs, plate appearances, batting average and slugging percentage, according to her college bio.

Additional high-school distinctions include placing four times on the First Team Academic All-District list and earning two Defensive Player of the Year awards. During her junior year (2017), she helped her team win Bi-District and Area Championships.

With her college team, Huseman’s 2019 stats include a pair of hits, two doubles and a triple, one home run, two RBIs, six assists and one stolen base. Majoring in elementary education, Huseman traces her athletic lineage to her father, Doug, who was a cross-country runner at Howard Payne University in the mid-1980s.
