Dom Williams, a junior for the Kansas Jayhawks, is a leading example of what the Kansas football program hopes to exemplify.

Williams, the 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back has been successful on and off the field. According to the Kansas University website, he was a Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during the spring of 2018.

Williams had 231 yards rushing in 2018, up over 50 rushing yards in 2017 for Kansas, where he overcame injury obstacles.

Originally from McKinney, Texas, Williams went to Independence High School where he was a four-star recruit. According to the Kansas website, he was a four-time First Team All-District running back and a three-time First Team All-State running back during his high school tenure.

The Jayhawks are hoping that Williams will continue to overcome adversity in 2019, with a healthy and productive season that match all of his previous academic and athletic accomplishments.
