Texas defensive lineman Edward Pequeno is one of 34 players recently named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall 2017 semester after posting a 3.0 grade-point average or better, according to TexasSports.com.
The honor is the third for Pequeno, a sophomore who was previously recognized for his achievements in the fall of 2016 and spring of 2017.
A 6-foot-1, 245-pound Memorial High School graduate in nearby McAllen, Pequeno is majoring in biology and pre-med.
On the field, the Longhorns (6-1, 4-0 in Big 12) have now won six in a row and are ranked No. 6 nationally in the latest College Football Rankings.
