Chuck Filiaga is anticipated to play big this season for the Wolverines.

The 6-foot-6, 341-pound offensive lineman is a sophomore this year and expected to put up big numbers in 2019.

Filiaga is an Aledo, Texas native and went Aledo High School, according to Michigan University’s website. At Aledo High, he led the football team to the 2016 Texas Division III Class 5A State Championship and rushed for 1,698 in just six playoff games.

Filiaga didn’t see any playing time as a freshman but he played left guard and assisted with special teams in 2018, according to MU’s website.

The tough and physical lineman was also an Academic All-Big Ten Honoree in 2018.

The Michigan Wolverines are expected Filiaga to be a staple for the football program this upcoming season.

The Wolverines were 10-3 in the regular season and 8-1 in their conference this year.
