Carrollton native Raghib Ismail Jr. has marked steady improvement over his first three years with the Wyoming Cowboys.

The No. 17 wide receiver’s record shows 2018 stats of 24 caught passes on 267 yards with two touchdowns for an average of 11.1 points, ESPN.com reports.

According to the school’s website, Ismail is nicknamed “Rocket” for good reason. At his previous school, Cisco College, he caught four touchdown passes (48 overall) placing him 21st nationally in the junior college category. In terms of receiving yards, his average of 62.0 yards per game lifted him to 29th in the nation.

Before co-starring on the Cisco team, he spent a year at Texas Christian University. The 6-0, 186-pound psychology major has a distinguished high school career under his belt, as his Ranchview High football team logged a 9-3 record his senior year. Ranchview coach Terry Smith’s tutelage helped Ismail earn a spot Rivals.com as a three-star recruit.
