A recent transfer from Cisco College, Will Hollis brings strong performance to the Texas State Bobcats honed during three years of college and in secondary school at McKinney Boyd High in McKinney, Texas.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound redshirt junior was coached under Brooke Court in high school, where as a senior he was chosen for the All-District 6-6A First Team. During his 2013 and 2014 seasons, he made the All-District 10-5A First Team and was named as District 10-5A Newcomer of the Year as a freshman.

Redshirted his first year (2016) at Cisco, Hollis went on to play in 56 and 57 games during 2017 and 2018, respectively. As a freshman in 2017, he batted .375, ranking second on the team, and scored 14 doubles and a single home run. In 2018, the sophomore batted .447 for a No. 1 ranking on the team. That year, he logged 19 doubles and 15 home runs, plus 78 RBIs.
