Arizona wide receiver and San Angelo Central graduate Thomas Aych has a very close connection to one of the members of the Wildcats coaching staff.

Theron Aych was reunited with the 6-foot, 167-pound redshirt sophomore when the latter transferred to Tucson from Angelo State in his hometown. Father and son work closely on the sidelines with the elder Aych serving as inside receivers coach under head coach Kevin Sumlin.

The Arizona Desert Swarm SB Nation blog reported that Thomas Aych, a law major, had participated in spring practice. He has played in one game so far in the 2019 season, a 65-41 rout of Northern Arizona on Sept. 7, according to his athlete bio.

At San Angelo Central, the younger Aych earned Academic All-District honors.
