At the 2016 State GOP Convention in Dallas, Texas Republicans made it clear that they’d like to see an end to tax-funded incentive programs. With an 88-percent approval, the party passed a plank in the Republican platform that called for abolishing the Major Event Trust Fund (METF) and the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF).
