In a memo released on June 18, Club for Growth PAC, a grassroots, pro-taxpayer, political action committee, endorsed incumbent US Sen. Ted Cruz in his re-election bid against far-left Rep. Robert Francis (Beto) O’Rourke (D–El Paso).

Club for Growth President David McIntosh was quick to state that CFG has always had Cruz’s back, saying “Club for Growth PAC was honored to be among the first to endorse Ted Cruz in his initial run for Senate in 2012, and now six years later we are just as honored to endorse his candidacy today.”

Their endorsement comes on the heels of growing concern over O’Rourke’s far-left fiscal agenda and the damage it could cause to the economy, which has been steadily improving under President Trump, if he were elected. He has already expressed support for completely socialized health-care and raising taxes.

CFG joins the ranks of numerous movement conservative organizations supporting Senator Cruz’s re-election such as Texas Right to Life PAC, Texas Eagle Forum, Young Conservatives of Texas, and Texans for Fiscal Responsibility.
