Texas House of Representatives:
Convenes at 10 a.m.
Considering 57 bills total; 30 of them for the first time (CALENDAR)
HB 3257 – State Rep. Phil King (R–Weatherford) – Creation of the commission on antisemitism
HB 2374 – State Rep. Scott Sanford (R–McKinney) – “Efficiency Audits” for the Department of Family & Protective Services (DFPS) [POSTPONED from yesterday]
House General Investigating Committee meeting to discuss the ongoing issue surrounding the status of immigrants at the TX-Mexico border [POSTING]
House State Affairs Committee meeting and will potentially vote out a new committee substitute (draft) for HB 3 – State Rep. Dustin Burrows (R–Lubbock) – TX Pandemic Response Act
Texas Senate:
Convenes at 1 p.m.
Several bills have the ability to be brought up (INTENT CALENDAR)
Update on some Legislative Priorities:
Bills related to the RPT Legislative Priority on Children & Gender Modification are starting to move in the legislative process. HB 1399 – State Rep. Matt Krause (R–Haslet) was voted out of the House Public Health Committee late last week by a vote of 6Y/4N. It has not been put on a calendar as of yet. Similar bills were considered in Senate State Affairs Committee last Monday. SB 1311 – State Sen. Bob Hall (R–Edgewood) was voted out of committee yesterday by a vote of 6Y/2N. A similar bill, SB 1646 – State Sen. Charles Perry (R-Lubbock), was also heard last Monday but has not been voted on thus far.
