Biography

Nehls graduated from Liberty University and received a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Houston Downtown. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 21 years. Nehls was first elected as Fort Bend County Sheriff in 2012 and won a second term in 2016. He entered Congress on Jan. 3, 2021.
