Attorney General Ken Paxton has officially blocked the Biden administration from auctioning off border wall sections ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s January 20 inauguration.
A court order from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas seals an agreement between the state and the U.S. Department of Justice prohibiting the Biden administration from selling border wall materials.
Examples of border wall parts listed included bollard wall panels, gates, and drainage components.
“This is a major win for Texas, border security, and the mandate the American people gave President Trump in November,” Paxton said. “If the Biden Administration violates the court order, I will immediately act to stop any further efforts to subvert our national interest.”
“From day one, Biden worked to throw open our borders, endangering American lives, and now we have halted his last second desperate attempt to undermine President-elect Trump,” he continued.
This follows a previous ruling from U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton that ordered the Biden administration to stop selling border wall sections—activity that was first revealed in an investigation by The Daily Wire.
Trump said at the time that Tipton’s ruling was a “major, crucial WIN for America” on Truth Social.
“The Judge has also ordered an investigation into the illegal selling of the materials, which will expose just how corrupt and anti-American Radical Democrats are,” he continued. “I am honored to be joined in this vital case by the Great States of Texas and Missouri, and applaud Judge Drew Tipton for doing the right thing for our Country.”
