Channelview Repeat Offender Sentenced to 15 Years for Child Pornography

Constable Alan Rosen’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit has secured a 15-year sentence for a repeat offender it first arrested in 2019.

Christopher Lakner

A Channelview man who already served prison time for soliciting a minor online is headed back to prison for 15 years after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.

Christopher Lakner, 34, recently entered the plea as part of an agreement with prosecutors. Harris County Constable Precinct 1 Internet Crimes Against Children detectives handled the investigation.

Court records describe videos involving girls between the ages of 10 and 12, along with another video of a girl who appeared to be about 7 years old.

Lakner had been held on a $5 million bond while the case moved through court.

As part of the deal, a separate charge of online solicitation of a minor was dismissed. That case stemmed from his alleged attempt to meet a 15-year-old girl at a McDonald’s for sex. The “girl” was actually an undercover Precinct 1 detective, the same detective who worked his earlier solicitation case.

That earlier case dates to 2019. Court records state Lakner asked an undercover deputy posing as a teenager to help him kidnap children so they could be sold as sex slaves. He also sent the deputy nude photos of himself and tried to set up an in-person meeting.

He pleaded guilty and received a five-year prison sentence, and he was released on parole in November 2024.

Roughly six months later, in May 2025, Precinct 1 deputies arrested him again. The constable’s office said he messaged an undercover deputy posing as a 15-year-old girl, sought to have sex, and sent explicit photos of himself. While he sat in jail on that charge, investigators searched his phone, and in January 2026 the constable’s office announced two new child pornography charges tied to videos found on the mobile device.

Lakner also has a record outside Harris County. He was previously convicted in Montgomery County on four second-degree felony counts of possession of child pornography. In 2025, the constable’s office described a Montgomery County case in which he was convicted of promoting child pornography and received 10 years of probation for sending images to an undercover officer. The reports do not make clear whether those stem from the same case.

Constable Alan Rosen commented on the sentence. “We are never going to stop doing all we can to stop sexual predators,” Rosen said. “We are not going to let you prey on anyone, especially children.”
