In advance of the 2014 local elections, Texans For Fiscal Responsibility today endorsed Craig Bickley in his bid for Trustee of the Tarrant Regional Water District.

Ross Kecseg, the TFR Metroplex office director, applauded Bickley.

“The TRWD has drawn criticism for shielding its activity from public scrutiny and attempting to delay its own elections.  It recently expanded its reach into dubious land development projects.  Craig is a well-respected, grassroots leader dedicated to restoring the district’s reputation, by bringing transparency and accountability to one of the state’s largest governmental bodies”, said Kecseg. “Although the activities of the seemingly inconspicuous district are not widely publicized, it holds enormous taxing, spending and eminent domain authority over millions of North Texans.  Taxpayers deserve a liberty-minded trustee like Craig who will safeguard their interests and property from government waste, abuse and unwarranted intrusion.”
