A security guard for the Donna Independent School District is facing felony sex crime charges involving a student.
Francisco “Frank” San Roman Jr. was arrested by the Donna ISD Police Department on charges of indecency with a child by sexual contact, online solicitation of a minor under the age of 14, and improper relationship between educator and student.
All are second-degree felonies punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison.
San Roman was booked into the Hidalgo County Jail on April 17. Total bond is set at $560,000.
Local parents say San Roman worked at Sauceda Middle School.
According to a statement from the district, he no longer works for Donna ISD.
“Donna ISD prioritizes the safety and well-being of every student. The district moved quickly and took appropriate action in response to this matter,” wrote the district.
The individual is no longer employed by the district, and we are cooperating fully with law enforcement as the process moves forward.

The school district’s police department is investigating the alleged misconduct along with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office.
A school security guard in Temple was arrested last week and charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student.
A Sanger ISD police officer was charged in January with sexual assault of a child and other felonies involving a student.
Over the past few years, a growing number of Texas school employees have been accused of sex crimes involving students and other children, and thousands have been reported to the Texas Education Agency for sexual misconduct.
