Harris County Judge Nathan Milliron is facing widespread criticism on social media after a video of a courtroom dispute with an IT technician went viral.
The video—which does not capture the beginning of the conversation—appears to show the technician questioning whether there ever was an audio issue, as Milliron had earlier reported. A Republican, Milliron is not up for re-election until 2028.
Milliron can be seen asking an off-camera witness whether he made up the issue, to which the woman can be heard to reply, “No.”
After briefly checking the equipment, the technician told Milliron, “You’re good,” and that the report was a “false alarm.”
Milliron seemingly took offense to this comment, saying, “No, it wasn’t a false alarm.” The technician laughed, suggesting it must have been a “false negative.” He then apologized after seeing the look on Milliron’s face.
“Don’t joke around, I’m serious about this, it was happening,” said Milliron. The technician responded, “I understand, I’m just saying I just can’t see it, sir.”
Milliron responded, “We’re good, thank you, get out of my courtroom.”
After the technician left, Milliron is seen saying, “Find his supervisor. Jesus Christ. Sick and tired of this bullshit today.”
After the incident went viral, Milliron posted to Facebook, stating, “The video has been edited, right?”
The post garnered over 400 comments, overwhelmingly rebuking Milliron. It has sparked outrage on social media, leading multiple accounts to post additional footage of Milliron behaving in a similar manner.
Milliron was elected to the 215th District Court in Harris County in November 2024. He assumed office on January 1, 2025.
Milliron did not respond to Texas Scorecard’s request for comment before publication.
