A West Texas teacher was arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a Muleshoe High School student.
Allegra Fey Mora was arrested in June and charged with an improper relationship between educator and student, a second-degree felony punishable by 2 to 20 years in prison.
Mora was a teacher in the Muleshoe Independent School District at the time of the alleged offense, which occurred during the 2025-26 school year.
Amarillo Mug Shots learned of the case and obtained records from the Bailey County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety.
Texas DPS records showed the Texas Rangers assisted the Muleshoe Police Department with the investigation starting on June 2, according to Amarillo Mug Shots.
Mora was booked into the Bailey County Jail on June 4 and released the next day on a $15,000 bond.
Muleshoe ISD Superintendent Scott Bicknell confirmed that Mora no longer works for the district.
In a press release dated June 5, Bicknell stated that administrators had received a report from state law enforcement officials on June 4 that a district employee was arrested for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a Muleshoe ISD student.
Bicknell said the district had made all required reports to state authorities and regulatory agencies and was cooperating with law enforcement and other agencies.
“The District’s policies concerning professional boundaries and improper relationships between staff and students are rigorously enforced. Violations are not tolerated. As such, it is our practice at Muleshoe ISD to notify parents in a timely and transparent manner, as it is important that they continue to have conversations with their children about reporting anything or anyone that makes them feel uncomfortable or threatened in any way.”

Mora has held a Texas teaching certificate for English Language Arts and Reading since 2021. Her certification is under review by the Texas Education Agency.
Online records show Mora worked for Muleshoe ISD, a four-school district in West Texas near the New Mexico border, since the 2023-24 school year. Photos posted on the district’s website show Mora was active in the Muleshoe Classroom Teachers Association.
She previously taught in Hereford ISD.
Mora’s LinkedIn page states she is “seeking new opportunities.”
Over the past few years, a growing number of Texas school employees have been accused of sex crimes involving students and other children, and thousands have been reported to the TEA for sexual misconduct.
The TEA’s Educator Misconduct Reporting Dashboard shows the agency is currently investigating more than 2,700 sexual misconduct complaints and opening an average of 250 new cases each month.
