As early voting for local runoff races in North Texas is underway, True Texas Project has released a list of candidates recommended by citizens.

Formerly known as the North East Tarrant Tea Party, True Texas Project says its mission is to activate and grow a grassroots army in the Lone Star State.

In the November general election this year, they recommended voting Republican all the way down the ballot. But for local races, the organization compiled recommendations from supporters who live in Tarrant, Dallas, and Denton counties. True Texas Project notes that their board did not vet these candidates and the recommendations were not endorsements.

As a number of these local races went to a runoff—as no candidate gathered enough votes to win—TTP has released a list of recommendations for the December 8 runoff elections.

“These recommendations come from a few of our supporters that live in those localities, but the TTP Board has NOT vetted them,” the site reads. “Use this as a starting place for your OWN research. These are NOT endorsements.”

TTP warns this list does not address every race on the ballot for December 8 and encourages citizens to check their local county elections website to determine if there are runoff elections in their area.
