Willis City Councilwoman Tamara Young-Hector has been charged with “tampering with a government document,” a state jail felony. Young-Hector, known as “Ms Tam Sexy Blonde” according to her Facebook page, turned herself in to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office on June 20. She has since bonded out.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office detectives began the investigation into an incident involving government documents being tampered with. A protective order was allegedly applied for by someone who was not actually the person applying for the order.
Young-Hector was caught on surveillance video at the Montgomery County District Clerk’s Office at the time the offense was committed. After interviewing multiple eyewitnesses and examining other pieces of evidence, investigators identified her as a suspect.
A warrant was then issued for her arrest by Associate District Judge Paul Damico. Interestingly, Young-Hector went to Walker County to turn herself in and was booked there rather than in Montgomery County.
Young-Hector has been on the Willis City Council since 2009. Although council positions are technically non-partisan, Young-Hector associates with the Democrat-aligned wing on the council.
According to the investigation, Young-Hector was not acting in an official capacity as a councilwoman when the tampering allegedly occurred.
Young-Hector remains on the Willis City Council.
