Denton “pride” organizations are revving up for “Pride Month” by hosting an LGBT-themed pool party where they will only offer all-ages, genderless changing rooms for use by attendees.

OUTreach Denton, a group that actively promotes the LGBT agenda to children, and PriDenton, a group that supports sexualizing children through drag and LGBT events, are working together to host their “Big Gay Swim Day” at the Civic Center Pool.

The event will take place on a Sunday, June 11, and will be completely free. After requiring RSVPs to attend the event, PriDenton and OUTreach Denton announced they had no more available slots to attend the pool party.

“Gendered changing rooms will be converted for the duration of the event,” the event announcement reads.

This means that changing rooms will not be specified for “Women” or “Men,” and will instead allow either gender, regardless of age, into either changing room.

“Organizers of this event intend to encourage biological men to use the same changing room as women and young girls. This sort of activity should never be allowed, but should certainly be prohibited on city owned property,” Brady Gray, board member of Texas Family Project told Texas Scorecard.

The announcement clarifies that all people are invited to attend the event, but to not bring “Transphobia, Homophobia, Fatphobia, Racism, Ableism.”

According to the announcement, the City of Denton will be providing lifeguards—but are claiming that this cost is included in the event fee—to supervise the event.

The pro-LGBT organizations also announced that a “community security team” will be present at the event. Protect Texas Kids, who will be protesting the event as they have done with several other Pride events in the past, believes this security team “likely means the local John Brown Gun Club (antifa).”

This would not be the first time the JBGC has guarded LGBT events for children.

Last year, armed JBGC members stood guard in front of Patchouli Joe’s, a local bookstore in Denton during a drag queen story hour for children.

Protect Texas Kids called on the Denton District Attorney to investigate the antifa-affiliated group last year, but Denton DA Paul Johnson refused to do so. If the antifa-affiliated JBGC does provide “security” for the event, this would be their first event since three of their members were arrested in Dallas during a drag protest in Fort Worth.

“It is disturbing to see these types of events continue to take place in Texas,” said Gray. “The intentional and aggressive campaigns to indoctrinate children and expose them to vile sexual content must stop. We call on the city of Denton to address this issue and ensure that children in attendance at this event are kept safe from these perverts.”

As of publication OUTreach Denton did not respond to Texas Scorecard’s request for comment.
