  • The list of Republican lawmakers calling for a fourth special legislative session is slowly growing. It now includes 21 Republican state senators and state representatives.
  • The Republican Party of Texas has routinely called for a fourth special legislative session to address the issue of prohibiting employer vaccine mandates, among other issues left on the table from previous legislative sessions.
  • Republican leadership in the state has ignored the issue so far. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order issued in October has routinely been ignored by companies across the state.
  • The list of other states addressing this issue continues to grow. It now includes Florida, Iowa, Tennessee, Utah, and Ohio, which have all recently passed legislation with varying approaches.
