Prohibition on Employer Vaccine Mandates

The list of Republican lawmakers calling for a fourth special legislative session is slowly growing. It now includes 21 Republican state senators and state representatives.
The Republican Party of Texas has routinely called for a fourth special legislative session to address the issue of prohibiting employer vaccine mandates, among other issues left on the table from previous legislative sessions.
Republican leadership in the state has ignored the issue so far. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order issued in October has routinely been ignored by companies across the state.
The list of other states addressing this issue continues to grow. It now includes Florida, Iowa, Tennessee, Utah, and Ohio, which have all recently passed legislation with varying approaches.
