Conservatives nationwide have been reporting historic apathy, frustrated with national leadership that seems to have lost its philosophic moorings. But Texans have reason for excitement this election season, thanks to the leadership of conservative legislators announcing their “Pledge With Texans” – substantive policy recommendations for the upcoming legislative session.

You can learn more about the Pledge at PledgeWithTexans.com.

The Pledge is presented in the spirit of the 1994 Contract With America, but is far more substantive and practical in its form and implementation.

The Pledge gives little room for political wrangling on issues ranging from real property tax relief to battling big government and protecting property rights.

Every single state legislator – and especially those claiming to be Republicans or conservatives – should demonstrate the commitment to these principles by signing the Pledge With Texans.

Not signing it might be an indicator that the candidate runs as campaign conservative and but legislates like a liberal.
