Amidst plans from the City of San Antonio and the General Land Office to renovate and “re-imagine” the Alamo, State Rep. Kyle Biedermann (R–Fredericksburg) sent a letter to Gov. Greg Abbott on Wednesday urging him to halt the movement of the Alamo Cenotaph, a monument commissioned on the centennial anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo that serves as a tombstone for the men who gave their lives in the fight for Texas independence at the storied site.

“I again appeal to you to protect and defend the sanctity of this monument.”
