As a humanitarian crisis unfolds at the Texas-Mexico border, the state’s top law enforcer is lambasting the newly-sworn president for allowing the rapidly-worsening chaos.

“This is Joe Biden’s and the Dems’ America. This is far worse than ‘kids in cages,’” tweeted Attorney General Ken Paxton on Monday, referencing an article showing leaked photos from federal government detention cells at the border.

Since late January, President Joe Biden and his administration have been implementing policies to allow more illegal immigrants—including cartel members, sex traffickers, and criminals—into the country. On his inauguration day, Biden signed an executive order halting nearly all deportations and has since taken other actions to dismantle President Donald Trump’s border protections, including ending his Migrant Protection Protocols.

Furthermore, then-candidate Biden also said in a Democratic primary debate that if he was president, illegal immigrants should “immediately surge to the border.”

And that’s exactly what has occurred.

Just in the month of February, Customs and Border Protection announced they encountered more than 100,000 migrants at the border, with Department of Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas saying last week that border crossings were on track to be the highest in 20 years.

Reports have also estimated more than 39,000 illegal immigrants have entered the country and not been apprehended so far this year.

Additionally, chaos is also unfolding in the administration’s detention facilities—formerly called “cages” by the mainstream media during the Trump years—with reports of overcrowding and poor conditions for unaccompanied children.

Biden’s administration also recently, in an unprecedented move, banned the media from accessing the situation at the border.

All of it, according to AG Paxton, adds up to a humanitarian crisis flooding into the southern states and threatening U.S. citizens.

“Biden’s immigration agenda swings the door wide open to allow already-deported, armed child-raping illegal aliens from Mexico onto Texas soil,” tweeted Paxton over the weekend.

“We’ve seen what happens when you don’t secure the border…the negative consequences affect children, #Texas, and the rest of the country,” Paxton’s office tweeted recently. “And yet, for some reason the Biden administration wants to repeat all of that.”

Paxton also sued Biden back in January for his “unlawful and perilous” halt on deportations. A federal judge in February indefinitely stopped the executive order, ruling Biden’s action was indeed “contrary to law.”

“It’s pretty sad but it doesn’t seem like the evidence matters,” Paxton said in a recent interview. “The [Biden Administration] has adopted this policy of open borders and they’re sticking with it despite the consequences of the spread of covid, human trafficking, increase in drug trafficking, increase in crime, and just general chaos.”

I’m continuing to fight this reckless administration’s immigration policies that gave us the crisis we now have on our hands.”
