After the departure of Dr. Gregory Vincent last year, Dr. Leonard N. Moore has been named the Vice President for Diversity and Community Engagement at the University of Texas at Austin.

This position, which Moore held in an interim capacity since last July, entails heading up the University’s massive diversity bureaucracy, which comprises almost 100 full-time, highly paid individuals.

The department utilizes almost $6 millions of taxpayer and tuition dollars every year solely for the salaries of these bureaucrats and has come under scrutiny recently for controversial far-left programs such as MasculinUT, which sought to redefine masculinity as a mental illness on the University’s campus.

Moore will enjoy a taxpayer-funded salary of over $300,000 plus a generous benefits package, earned in part for his role as a University Vice President, but also as compensation for the classes he teaches. In these classes, Moore is known for propagating his far-left racial politics, arguing America’s inherent racism and the need for the U.S. government to provide financial reparations to African-Americans.

Moore’s promotion shows that UT has no intention of scaling back its administrative bloat, even as they continue to foist tuition increases upon the student body and prioritize a progressive social agenda over academic excellence.
