The largest Republican state is pushing back against Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel. First elected to the position in 2017, McDaniel has been under fire for the last several weeks after overseeing an underwhelming midterm election cycle in November. Over the weekend, the State Republican Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Texas—the party’s governing body—unanimously passed a resolution urging the RNC to choose new leadership.
