A Klein Independent School District teacher has been fired and accused of sexual misconduct with his students—the fifth teacher from the district this year accused of sex crimes.

Isidoro Guerrero has worked at Klein Forest High School as an Agricultural Science teacher since 2019.

The district released a statement, obtained by KPRC 2 News, informing staff members and families that Guerrero was fired after he admitted to going on a “non-sanctioned trip” outside of school with his students.

According to the letter, the Klein ISD Police Department and administration received a tip about the situation on April 23. Guerrero was confronted the same day and was fired from his position on April 24.

Since being fired, the district has launched an investigation into sexual misconduct, calling the allegations in part “deeply disturbing.” Guerrero has denied the allegations.

“Although these allegations are deeply troubling, we will relentlessly pursue justice, ensuring no stone is left unturned in safeguarding the children in our care,” reads the statement. “Our first priority upon learning of Guerrero organizing a non-sanctioned trip with students was to remove him from the classroom and inform his students and their parents that his employment was ended.”

Guerrero has not been arrested for the alleged sexual misconduct, and state records show that his teaching certificate is still valid.

Guerrero makes five teachers from Klein ISD accused of sex crimes involving minors during this school year.

In December, Epps Island Elementary teacher Matthew Stegeman was charged with indecency with a child by contact following accusations that he improperly touched a 7-year-old female student.

Also in December, Greenwood Forest Elementary School teacher Kenneth Espree was charged with five counts of possessing child pornography.

Klein Oak High School teacher Sebastian Baraldi was arrested in February and charged with five counts of possessing child porn.

Last month, a cosmetology teacher at Klein Cain High School, Kedria McMath Grigsby, was arrested and charged with three counts of trafficking a child and three counts of compelling prostitution of children under the age of 18. Grigsby allegedly worked with her son to exploit troubled students.

Texas Scorecard has reported on dozens of Texas teachers accused and charged with sex crimes involving students and other children.
