President Donald Trump is heading to Corpus Christi next week as Republicans look to secure key congressional races in South Texas ahead of the November midterm elections.

The visit, confirmed to Texas Scorecard by the Republican National Committee, will be part of a two-stop Texas swing on Tuesday, October 27, exactly one week before Election Day.

Trump will also appear in Lubbock later that day, a Republican stronghold in West Texas, where the rally is expected to help drive turnout among conservative voters.

His second stop in Corpus Christi will bring him closer to some of the state’s most competitive congressional contests.

Among them is the race featuring Republican Eric Flores, who is challenging Democrat U.S. Rep. Vicente Gonzalez in South Texas.

Republican U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz is also seeking re-election in the region against a challenge from Democrat Bobby Pullido.

The Corpus Christi rally replaces a previously announced rally in Waco, and comes as Republicans seek to maintain their congressional majorities, with South Texas remaining a focus of the party’s electoral efforts.

Trump has made several appearances in Texas in recent weeks, including a rally in San Antonio earlier this month.

Vice President JD Vance has also campaigned in South Texas, holding a rally in Harlingen alongside Republican candidates and state officials.

The visit will mark Trump’s second trip to Corpus Christi this year, following a visit in February.
