Memorial Day

Thousands of patriots in countless battles have willingly given their lives for the cause of liberty and in defense of our Constitution.

While our rights to life, liberty, and property are endowed by God, securing those rights has fallen to men and women willing to battle enemy forces intent on destroying the glorious American experiment.

We live today in the liberty their ultimate sacrifice yesterday made possible. We sleep easily at night under the protection of men and women who stand willing to give their lives for liberty.

Let us daily endeavor to make the very most of their brave sacrifice.

Michael Quinn Sullivan is the publisher of Texas Scorecard. He is a native Texan, a graduate of Texas A&M, and an Eagle Scout.
