There is a comfortable lie that many people tell so they can be deemed acceptable to certain social and political classes. The lie goes, “you cannot legislate morality.” No one actually believes that, as Michael Quinn Sullive says in this Reflection. All law is a reflection of morality. They just don’t want legislation based on the morality of God as embodied in the Bible. They want to substitute the morality of God with the whims of men.
When people decide they are willing to lose everything rather than live as serfs, that is when tyrants quiver and fall.
