As President Joe Biden’s border crisis spirals out of control, with the U.S. Border Patrol encountering more than 2.1 million illegal aliens this federal fiscal year, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is asking federal employees to volunteer for clean-up duty.

Earlier this week, Fox News reported on internal documents from DHS and the Pentagon requesting “every single US government department and agency [to] send volunteers on deployment to the southern border to provide support services to migrants who are detained there.”

These documents reveal how “military officials are going to deploy to the southern border to support migrants crossing into the US both legally and illegally.”

Additionally, volunteer responsibilities “will include basic housekeeping: picking up trash, sweeping, cleaning refrigerators, and shredding paper, prescription medicine runs—picking up meds from local pharmacies, Migrant Personal Property Management—this includes tagging, bagging sealing, storing and retrieval of their personal effects on demand.”

Estimates suggest each volunteer could cost taxpayers upwards of $25,000 in travel, per diem, food, and lost work.

Although Texans have been sounding the alarm regarding the border crisis for over a year now, including the devastation to property, livelihoods, and human life, the Biden Administration has yet to admit that there is a crisis.

“If there wasn’t a crisis, why would they be advertising for services like this?” questioned National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd on Fox News. “This administration refuses to define the problem.”

Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris (the appointed Border Czar) have ignored the invasion at the southern border on each of their trips to Texas.

Therefore, as communities suffer under the onslaught of illegal aliens, counties across the state are requesting Gov. Greg Abbott declare an invasion at the southern border.
