The U.S. Senate has confirmed Brooke Rollins, the former president of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, as the nation’s new secretary of agriculture in a vote of 72-28.

Both of Texas’ U.S. senators—John Cornyn and Ted Cruz—voted in favor of her confirmation.

Rollins was a key figure in Trump’s first-term policy team, leading the Domestic Policy Council. She has since served as the president of the America First Policy Institute.

As a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in agricultural development, President Donald Trump has praised her commitment to America’s farmers and rural communities.

“Brooke’s commitment to support the American Farmer, defense of American Food Self-Sufficiency, and the restoration of Agriculture-dependent American Small Towns is second to none,” he said when nominating her.

Her confirmation finishes out the president’s Texas appointments.

Tulsi Gabbard, the former Hawaii congresswoman-turned-Texas resident, was confirmed as the director of national intelligence yesterday.

Former Texas state lawmaker Scott Turner was recently confirmed as the secretary of housing and urban development, while former U.S. Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX), who previously served as Trump’s director of national intelligence, has taken the helm at the CIA.
