Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and American Stewards of Liberty are hosting a summit in Texas later this month to oppose the Biden administration’s “radical” plans for America’s land and oceans.

At the beginning of his presidency, Joe Biden issued an executive order on the “climate crisis.”

Executive Order 14008 on “Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad,” otherwise known as the “30×30” initiative, was signed by Biden on January 27, 2021.

Despite the federal government owning approximately 27 percent of America’s total land mass, the Biden administration has decided that 30 percent of each “eco-region” must be under federal land-use management.

The 30×30 initiative states that at least 30 percent of the nation’s lands and waters need to be conserved by 2030. However, the Biden administration refuses to define what is meant by “conserve.”

The Stop 30×30 Summit will have several speakers, including three keynote speakers: Marc Morano, author of “The Great Reset”; U.S. Representative Tom Tiffany (R–WI), Chairman of the House Federal Lands Subcommittee; and Sid Miller.

According to the summit’s website, the event’s focus will be “strategies and policies to counter the 30×30 agenda, with discussions on property rights, local, state and national policy, and constitutional law.”

“Our expert panels, strategy sessions, and networking opportunities aim to empower attendees with knowledge and resources to protect property rights and advance actionable solutions,” the event’s description states.

The website also directs activists to sign a letter to President Biden in opposition to the 30×30 initiative.

The statement was signed by over 100 prominent leaders, including President Ronald Reagan’s Attorney General, Edwin Meese III; the current Conservative Action Project (CAP) Chairman, Kenneth Blackwell; and Former White House Advisor for President Reagan, Becky Norton Dunlop, now with The Heritage Foundation.

It also points out the Biden administration’s failure to be transparent with Americans regarding the initiative and his agenda, laying out the following issues:

  • Failed to define publicly what you mean by “conservation,” the very act you claim is necessary to avoid a climate crisis.

  • Failed to disclose what level of restrictions and regulatory controls will be required for lands and waters to be considered protected.

  • Failed to consider the devastating economic and environmental harm this program will cause the American people, while restricting our ability to grow our nation’s food and supply our energy needs.

The Stop 30×30 Summit will occur September 21-23 in Irving, Texas.
